Currently $245.00 per
1000 or $130.00 per 500.
Shipping within the USA
is about 12.00 to 13.00 dollars for 500 bullets and around 15.00 dollars for
a 1000. UPS gives a pretty good break for volume. The more bullets we ship
at one time the less it costs.
Yes, the smallest
quantities we sell are boxes of 500.
Well here is why...
I do this because I want the shooter to tune
the bullet to their rifle. A normal shooter who buys 100 or 200 bullets (I'm
not saying you would do this) usually doesn't even adjust his bullet seating
die. They go to the range and put in the same powder load and the same
setting depth of whatever bullet they were shooting and let them fly! If
they get lucky and it works, then I make a good bullet; if they don't do
well, then I a poor bullet maker.
Friends, let me tell
you something...I shoot a lot, and not to blow my horn, but I have a pretty
good bit of experience in tuning a rifle. I myself am not comfortable trying
to tune a gun with only a 100 rounds. It is amazing how a rifle can come to
life by tweaking the seating depth and varying the powder charge a little.
Also for the sake of
argument, lets just say that you did get the rifle tuned in 50 shots, and
its shooting like never before...well you are almost out of bullets and now
you need more. I normally have a 3 to 4 week wait for bullets.
If you think buying 500
bullets is too big of an investment on something that you don't know will
work, don't worry... I'll be glad to exchange them for one of my other 6mm
bullets (Headhunter, Predator, Ultra, Wedge, Original, Watson or Zia ) or
just refund your money in full. I'll work with you until you are happy or
satisfied...whichever comes first. There is no better guarantee in the
business!
Normally, we just ship
your bullets once they are ready. Inside the box will be an invoice. Just
send us a check once you have them (personal checks are fine, no need for
money orders). Yes this is unheard of now-a-days, but I have a lot of faith
and trust in shooters. I have sold bullets all over the country for several
years and have never had anyone not pay.
You may also pay by
credit card if you like. Just give us a call at 270-879-4279 with your card
information.
Almost always
"nothing"...we're not that kind of bullet maker. Our goal is to produce the
best bullets in the world. To do that you have to have great equipment and
procedures, but most of all they have to be made one at a time by hand. It
takes a great deal of time and effort just to produce 1000 bullets.
When you place your
order, I'll give you an expected ship date. However, you can typically
expect to 3 to 4 weeks, but it can be longer. It really depends on what is
going on in the shooting world. For example, prior to the big matches like
the Super Shoot or Nationals it is all I can do to get bullets ready for
shooters needing them for the match. So, I almost have to shut down and
focus on those orders.
As a general rule the
spring time and summer months are the busiest which result in slightly
longer wait times.
The best plan is to
order ahead of time. A 6 week lead time is excellent.
Give me a call and we
can try to find a dealer that either has them or is next in line to get a
shipment of bullets.
That depends on what
type of barrel and reamer you are using...you need give me a call or send an
email with the particulars of your rifle. Then I can probably steer you in
the right direction.
Time has shown that our
bullets work well with a wide variety of reamers. However I prefer a .045
freebore with a trim length of 1.515.
Overseas customers can contact the following distributors to arrange for
the order and export of Bart's Custom Bullets. Please contact them for
